Circles
There are so many canine behaviors that I don't understand and yet just accept. Like, why do dogs go in circles? Maggie, in the short time that we had her, chased her tail constantly, apparently not realizing it was attached to her body. I always thought that if the US Government had Maggie's determination, maybe they'd have caught Bin Laden by now. Then there's Lexi. My oldest girl has a bean bag chair that she usually sleeps in at night, right next to my bed. When we go to bed, she gets on the bean bag and circles it for about 2 or 3 minutes, but for what seems like an hour. Once she has it just how she wants it, she'll settle down, but very often, she'll jump up on the bed and sleep there, apparently dissatisfied with her work.
